Our wedding anniversary and my love for my adorable husband of three years eclipsed all things Kazakh today. We celebrated in style at a local "fancy" restaurant next to the river called Ресторан Белон.
Highlights from our marriage are perhaps too exhaustive to list here, so I'll share a bit from our quirky dinner out.
We were the only people in the restaurant, which is situated in a prime people watching spot near the boardwalk. The service was attentive and the food was very decent. We had steak - and had the option to order either beef from the USA or Kazakhstan (we chose the Kazakh beef option). It was a delicious meal that we ate to cheesy rumba music blaring over the stereo on the patio. Ah! Definitely another romantic memory to savor and celebrate.
This is an aimless blog that gives voices to small joys, quirky happenstances, everyday occurrences, and occasional pesterings as the author navigates her life paths as an educator, transplanted Wyomingite, traveler, and curiosity seeker.
